A 12-year old girl presented with a 3-week history of floaters and blurry vision in her left eye (LE). The patient reported mild fever, loss of weight (2 kg) and contact with puppies. Visual acuity was 20/20 in her right eye (RE) and 20/30 in her LE. In the LE, there was anterior uveitis, vitritis and a white-to-cream peripheral retinal mass with intravitreal exudates (figure 1A).
