This laser scanning system is provided with: a first rotary mechanism for rotating a first rotary shaft at a predetermined first rotary shaft rotation speed about a rotational center; a first rotation speed control part for controlling the first rotary shaft rotation speed of the first rotary mechanism; and a laser scanner having a laser distance measurement unit for rotating together with the first rotary mechanism, emitting a laser, and measuring the distance to a sensing object, the laser distance measurement unit being provided to the first rotary mechanism; the first rotation speed control part controlling the first rotary shaft rotation speed in each of a sensing rotation angle range corresponding to a region in which the sensing object is present, and a non-sensing rotation angle range corresponding to a region in which the sensing object is not present.
