Multi-Laser Diodes Condenser/Homogenizer Applicable to Laser Projection Systems

A novel multi-laser diodes (LDs) condenser/homogenizer which maintains the LDs' polarization plane and is suitable for use with a liquid crystal light bulb is proposed. With the condenser/homogenizer, high power and uniform illumination is successfully obtained. A prototyped laser projection system with the condenser/homogenizer showed superb wide color gamut.
