In this paper,at first explaining concept of ET and virtual water,then analyzing the relation between ET and virtual water,and illuminating the significance of ET technique applying on really saving water.In conclusion,some suggestions have been put forward on how to adjust the structure of agricultural products so as to alleviate the press of water shortage in water-shorting areas and bring innovation to water resources management mechanism.
