Experimental Design of the Mechanical Design Course in Distance Education

With the fast development of technology, the booming of distance learning provides a diversity platform for learners to absorb various knowledge, which plays a significant role in the mechanical engineering education. However, the mechanical design course in distance education is challenged by several difficulties. In order to solve these problems and improve teaching efficiency and effect, the teaching method for the distance education of the course is designed. Specifically, the knowledge framework and corresponding virtual remote laboratory containing the knowledge points are designed, and the step by step systematic experimental scheme for the virtual remote lab is illustrated. By rebuilding the knowledge framework of mechanical design course and combing the online theory course with online experiments, learners can concrete abstract principles, simplify complex problems, learn more actively and efficiently in the mechanical design course.
