The 30keV Averaged Neutron Capture Cross Sections of 56Fe and 60Ni

High resolution neutron capture measurements of 56Fe and 60Ni were performed with total energy detectors in the energy range 1–200 keV. The data have been used to derive the Maxwellian‐averaged cross sections for thermal energies around kT=30 keV, corresponding to the mean temperature of the s‐process of stellar nucleosynthesis.
