A GESTÃO DE MULTIMEIOS EM BIBLIOTECAS UNIVERSITÁRIAS DE INSTITUIÇÕES DE ENSINO SUPERIOR PRIVADAS EM PORTO VELHO – RO

Estudo sobre a colecao de multimeios em bibliotecas universitarias. Objetiva avaliar a forma de cuidados, conservacao e gestao dos materiais nao convencionais e/ou multimeios, contidos nas bibliotecas das Faculdades Integradas Aparicio de Carvalho (FIMCA), Faculdade de Rondonia (FARO) e Faculdade Catolica de Rondonia (FCR). Realiza pesquisa exploratoria e qualitativa para melhor compreensao da tematica. Para o levantamento de dados efetivou tres entrevistas com as respectivas bibliotecarias junto as instituicoes secionadas. Desta forma, como uma das atribuicoes, foi possivel oferecer sugestoes quanto aos aspectos que podem ser aprimorados, em comum acordo com as responsaveis pelas quatro bibliotecas objeto da pesquisa. Conclui que os multimeios sao um tipo de material informacional que deve coabitar com os materiais tradicionais, enquanto opcao agregadora e complementar no processo de educacao das clientelas dessas instituicoes. MULTIMEDIA MANAGEMENT IN UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES OF PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN PORTO VELHO – RO  Abstract Study of the collection of multimedia in university libraries. It aims to evaluate the form of care, conservation and management of unconventional and / or multimedia materials, contained in the libraries of Faculdades Integradas Aparicio de Carvalho (FIMCA), Faculdade de Rondonia (FARO) and Faculdade Catolica de Rondonia (FCR). Conducts exploratory and qualitative research to better understand the theme. For data collection, three interviews were conducted with the respective librarians at the sectioned institution. In this way, as one of the attributions, it was possible to offer suggestions as to the aspects that can be improved, in common agreement with those responsible for the four libraries object of the research. It concludes that multimedia is a type of informational material that must coexist with traditional materials, as an aggregating and complementary option in the education process of the clients of these institutions.
