Renewable Energy Solar Application in Nigeria

Harnessing renewable energy will give rise to new technology and its applications. The paper focuses on applications of solar power as a renewable energy. There are different technology for application of solar energy ranging from household supply, office buildings, automobiles, agriculture, education, health, hybrid system, companies and others. The focus on application for household supply or installation and new technology for hybrid system as micro grids in rural areas gives affordable power for economic activities in order to conserve energy for sustainable rural development and the national grid and its management cost (economically). Common and some optimistic fields of applications in Nigeria are discussed.
