Use of INSAT TV Signal in a Common View Mode for Time Comparison of Two Remote Clocks

Two clocks, one at New Delhi and the other at Bangalore, are intercompared through the use of TV signals of INSAT-1B in a common view mode. This paper analyses the data and checks the result with portable clock trip. An accuracy of the order of 5 μs could be achieved in spite of unstable orbit of INSAT-1B.
