Differential diagnosis of five lower genital infections by using combined method

2014
Objective To compare the efficiency of routine microscopic examination of leucorrhea, bacterial preformed enzyme spectrum analysis and combination of the two methods for differential diagnosis of five common lower reproductive tract infections. Methods Vaginal secretions of 3 420 women in our hospital were detected by using the routine microscopic examination and bacterial pre-formed enzyme spectrum analysis method. Results 1 636 patients with vaginal infections were detected by using the routine microscopic examination,in which the numbers of BV,VVC,TV and CV were 543,820,225 and 48 respectively. 1 078 patients with vaginal infections were detected by using bacterial pre-formed enzyme spectrum analysis,in which the numbers of AV and BV were 461 and617 respectively. 2 171 patients with vaginal infections were detected by using the combination of the two methods,in which the numbers of AV,BV,CV,TV and VVC were 461,617,48,225 and 820 respectively. Conclusion The combined method has the advantages of both routine microscopic examination and bacterial pre-formed enzyme spectrum analysis, and can differentially diagnose the five common lower genital tract infections.
