El cómic, medio de reafirmación de la identidad nacional

Spanish Royal Academy (RAE) of Language defines patriotism like”love to homeland”. National feeling creates a consciousness of attachment to the country; either a territory limited by physical borders or built in the collective mind of national people linked by linguistic, historical or economical common roots. In any case, this awareness of unity acts as a glue of social cohesion; sometimes, reinforcing emotions, other times, bringing together artificially joint territories. Comic is a media widely used by governments or lobbies to spread an ideology or indoctrinate population. Previously employed during war times, its format can be easily understood by all ages, but especially by the youngest people, and rises as a tool to instil patriotic or nationalist values as well as to mock those who defend opposite ideas.
