STUDI EPIDEMIOLOGI FASCIOLOPSIS BUSKI DI KABUPATEN HULU SUNGAI UTARA - KALSEL TAHUN 2002-2003

Fasciolopsis buski is one of the biggest trematode parasite which can be infected the human being because the worm live in lumen intestine. Human can be infected because eat raw or unwell cooked water plants. In Indonesia, this worm diseases only found in some village in Hulu Sungai Utara district, with prevalence between 1,2-7,8%. The research design is a cross sectional with collecting epidemiology data, such as parasite examination on the reservoir (it suppose to buffalo swamp), the intermediate host (some species snails), water plants of parasite encystation (water lily, water chesnut, water cress). Result of the examination of stool, 7,8% (121/1.555 person) have positive egg of F. buski. The collecting result of epidemiology data for looking the water plants of metacercariae eocystations, the intermediate host of cercariae growth and host reservoir has been collected 206 specimens but can not find the water plants of encystations or the intermediate host. Keywords: Fasciolopsis buski, parasite, cercariae
