It in Management and Functioning of Enterprises in A Coronavirus Pandemic Situation - Advantages and Dangers

It is hard to imagine the functioning of modern man without IT elements. They allow to speed up and improve work. The development of computer networks, telephony and especially the Internet gives the opportunity to work remotely. Currently, it seems that this functionality is the best tool in counteracting negative, not only economic effects of the coronavirus. It allows to carry out previous tasks in a way that does not require direct meetings of employees, employees with clients or students with teachers. However, the scale of the phenomenon and the immediate necessity to switch to this style of operation suggest that this is not easy for many enterprises. IT is not only tools used at work. It also includes all devices enabling people to receive and transfer information. In this regard, everyone gets a huge amount of information about the coronavirus every day. This is the vast majority of information about negative emotional background. As research shows, it has an impact on human effectiveness. The purpose of the publication is to show undeniable advantages of using IT tools in the age of coronavirus. The goal is also to present risks associated with it. The paper presents results of surveys carried out by the author after the spread of the virus. Other authors' research was also used. In addition to the survey results, the author's participating research results and information obtained during his interviews will be presented. Correlations between the results allow to better analyze and understand the essence of the problem under consideration. Due to the complexity of the subject, research areas have been proposed, which should now be of interest to researchers in the field of management sciences, but not only. A feature of the current threat is, according to the author, the need for multicriteria analysis, looking from many points of view - interdisciplinarity. Only this allows to understand the real essence of the problem and propose solutions for the future.
