A system for passive implantable pressure sensors
1993
Abstract We have developed a passive pressure sensor intended primarily for intraocular pressure measurements. We have earlier reported the basic sensor and system design concepts, and initial experimental results. In this paper we present a method to improve the Q value of the sensor element. The first experimental results in vitro are also reported. The external detector works adequately for sensor elements with a Q value above 100. The system has been tested in vitro in gas and liquid, where a sensitivity of 4 mV/mmHg was reached.
