The invention relates to a motor-driven epilation head (3) for an epilation device (1), especially for plucking hairs of human skin. The epilation head according to the invention (3) has a about a rotation axis (7) rotatable rotary cylinder (5) with clamping means (13) for gripping and plucking the hairs, and operating elements (19) for actuating the clamping devices (13). The rotary cylinder (5) further has at least one pressure element (22) having a control surface (23) on which the actuating elements (19) at least temporarily start sliding. The peculiarity of the epilation head (3) is that both the actuating members (19) and the pressure element (22) are made of plastic.
