Development of Quality of Life Measurement for Drug Addicts

2007
Objective:To develop quality of life measurement for drug addicts. Methods: Qualitative study, literature review, Delphi method and cognitive pretest method were used to develop initial measurement. Then 525 drug addicts were surveyed by the revised questionnaire. To select items which were important, sensitive, dependent, and representative, and to evaluate the reliability and validity, response analysis, correlation, exploratory factor analysis and structural equation model were used. Results:Quality of life measurement for drug users was developed.Six dimensions were same as expected construct and it explained 53.68% variance.Cronbach coefficient was 0.958, test-retest reliability was 0.917, and half-split reliability was 0.844.CFI was 0.95 and SRMR was 0.07, Content and Discriminant validity were good.Concurrent validity with MOS SF-36 was 0.722.Conclusion:This measurement has good reliability and validity.
