A Description of Reliable Pacemaker Holter Functions in the Future Antitachycardia Pacemaker

Treatment of tachyarrhythmias by means of permanent implantable cardiac pacemakers requires a means to evaluate efficiency and safety of the given treatment. In-built memory capabilities in the pacemaker can be used for such a purpose; first to optimise treatment by classification of optimal treatments per type of tachyarrhythmia and second by memorising the effect and consequences of every treatment to enable monitoring of dangerous sequences.
