Dual Band and Dual Polarized Reflectarray Using Cross Dipole and Patch Elements

2021
In the fifth generation wireless communication systems, it is expected to use high frequencies such as 39 GHz in addition to 28 GHz. However, radio wave in high frequency bands has a high straight advancing property. As a result, coverage holes exist where communication quality is insufficient in communication area. To overcome this problem, a reflectarray has been reported to reflect the radio waves in a specified direction. In this paper, a dual band and dual polarized reflectarray is proposed. The proposed reflectarray can achieve the 45° reflection at normal incidence for both polarization at 28 GHz and 39 GHz.
