NOISE FROM THE REAR TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS OF CARS AND ITS CONTROL

One of the problems facing car manufacturers is the control of the quality of the mechanical systems fitted on a car. The sound level is of particular importance as it affects the comfort, hence the image of a particular model. The Fiat Company has fully studied these questions. It has developed some equipment to control the noise from gear boxes and another type to be used on test rigs for controlling rear transmission systems. (TRRL) (TRRL)
