Digital PID Based on Pseudo Type-III Compensation for DC-DC Converter

This paper proposes a digital compensator for digital DC-DC buck converter based on indirect design method with pseudo type-III (PT3) compensation. The transfer function in continuous time domain is transferred to discrete time domain by bilinear transformation method. The proposed digital pseudo type-III (DPT3) compensator is composed of three modules, building dual signal paths, which can generate an additional zero. The proposed DPT3 compensator realizes integration and differentiation by dual signal paths, reducing the complexity of compensator and the number of gates (reducing one accumulator, one multiplier and one delay). Finally, the validity of the proposed DPT3 structure is verified by simulation.
