Programa de melhoramento genético de tomateiro: obtenção de variedades adaptadas ao Sudoeste do Paraná

As a rule,farmers are being affected by the lack of tomato varieties adapted to the production system,making it difficult and / or difficult to plant the crop, due to the low yield and redoubled carewith the management. With this in mind, a genetic improvement program for a tomato crop wasstarted, aiming at a variety of open pollination adapted to a southwestern region of Parana.As an alternative to commercial hybrids, reducing costs and dependence on external markets,since they can multiply their own seeds.
