Dynamic monitoring of land desertification of the area of lake Ebinur

Based on the RS and GIS technology,this study took three periods'(1990,2001,2007)TM and ETM satellite data as the basic data sources,and built the Visual Interpretation signs.With the image processing and data processing of ENVI and ARCGIS9.3,we inspected the soil desertification developments from 2001 to 2007.The result expressed that the area of the heavy and serious,moderate desertification became aggravate obviously,the slight desertification decreased in the time of study.In the reversion of desertification,the slight desertification did obviously,and in the new desertification soil,the serious and moderate desertification occupied the most.In a word,the desertification was accelerating,and the whole environment was exacerbating.
