THE IMPERIAL MYTH IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE RUSSIAN ETHNIC AND CULTURAL IDENTITY

The article suggests the methodology of bridging the formation-evolutionary, cultural-civilization, ethnological and cultural-antropological models in understanding the dynamics of complex socio-cultural systems. The selected epistemological models allow us to adequately study the specificity of cultural and civilization development of Russia, which is relevant in line with the next wave of modernization of the country. The article pays attention to the imperial myth and its role in the construction of Russia's ethno-cultural identity.
