Equilibrium and thermodynamic studies of ternary systems involving metal ions, N-(2-acetamido)iminodiacetic acid and pyrimidine bases

Complex formation in the ternary systems: M n + + N-(2-acetamido)iminodiacetic acid (H 2 ADA) + some pyrimidine bases of nucleic acid (HL) [thymine, thymidine and uracil], where M n + = Cu I I , Zn I I , Ni I I , Co I I , Cd I I , Pb I I , UO I I 2 , and Ce I I I 2 have been investigated pH-metrically. The thermodynamic functions (AH, AG°, AS°) associated with the complex formation of [Ni I I -N-(2-acetamido)iminodiacetic acid - thymine or uracil] were also calculated and discussed.
