Experience of Route Design for Changqing Oilfield Highways

Based on the characteristics of the highways in Changqing Oilfield,the analyses on highway route pattern standard,minimum straight line length between two curves,super-elevation value,transition curve length and super-elevation transition are conducted in considerable detail.It is indicated that the route design is a comprehensive work involving and affecting the aspects of road design,especially for mountainous roads,the various influence factors must be considered and the iterative work on plane route determination,longitudinal section design,cross section examination,plane adjustment as well as technical and economic comparisons must be carried out.So the economical and practical route can be successfully designed.
