High-frequency assisted magnetic head

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency assist magnetic head capable of handling a higher recording density.SOLUTION: In a high frequency assist magnetic head, when the drive current of a spin torque oscillator is 0, the magnetization direction of the spin injection layer is identical irrespective of the polarity of a recording current; and when the drive current of the spin torque oscillator is not 0, the magnetization direction of the spin injection layer responses to the polarity of the recording current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
