Producing Candida.sp. HZ19 with Waste Tobacco Stems by Solid State Fermentation

2013
To better utilize waste tobacco stems,a strain of Candida.sp.HZ19 was produced with waste tobacco stems by solid state fermentation. The key factors affecting the biomass of Candida.sp.HZ19 were further screened with Plackett-Burman design based on the monofactorial test. The results showed that the optimal fermentation conditions were 30 ℃ for 3 days, inoculation rate 100 mL/kg,loading rate 10 g/250 mL and stem size 4-5 cm in length.Sucrose, yeast powder and glucose imparted significant effects on HZ19 biomass.Under Plackett-Burman design conditions, the maximum yield of biomass reached 103.24 g/kg(dry weight).
