Large Satellite RNAs
2017
Abstract Despite being autonomous obligate infectious entities, some plant viruses also act as helper viruses for several types of parasitic subviral agents. Such agents, known as satellites, have their own unique genetic material, but rely on their helper viruses for replication, encapsidation, and movement. In this chapter, we review recent work on the large satellite RNAs of plant viruses.
