In Ecuador, pork meat consumption is high amongst its population, which results in a high demand for this product. It is for this reason that CEBSI enters this market to compete with the very large and established companies of within the food consumption industry. Its main offices are located in Quito. Their production plants, as well as its projected future processing facility are located in the Hacienda “San Vicente”, in the province of Cotopaxi, near the growing city of La Mana. This location has a swine farm with facilities that are wellstructured and planned for growing of specimens of elite genetics that will provide excellent quality meat. Currently CEBSI has managed to capture important segments of the market in Quito and throughout provinces of the Ecuadorian mainland. However, the company finds its bottleneck in commercialization of its product in its outdated production procedures. This is why a processing, modern facility is proposed to rise levels of production and sales. The objectives are to sell 5350 kilos of processed meat per, which in turn reveals the need of 70 pigs for each production day. As a result, the company will see an increment in its sales and production.
