The invention discloses a wheel driving device. The wheel driving device comprises a driving motor and a driving shaft. The driving shaft is connected with a motor output shaft of the driving motor by a planetary gear mechanism, the driving motor is connected onto a power source of an automobile by a motor controller, the planetary gear mechanism comprises a sun gear and a planetary carrier, the sun gear is fixedly sleeved on the driving shaft, the planetary carrier is fixedly sleeved on the motor output shaft, an inner gear ring is sleeved on an outer circle of the sun gear, a plurality of planetary gears are in mesh connection between the sun gear and the inner gear ring and are rotationally connected onto the planetary carrier, and a motor brake is arranged on the planetary carrier and is electrically connected onto the motor controller. The wheel driving device has the advantages that the motor can be disconnected from a transmission system according to requirements of working conditions, accordingly, the service life of the motor can be prolonged, and technical problems that an existing motor of a vehicle in the prior art can be reversely dragged at a speed higher than the maximum rotation speed of the existing motor when the vehicle runs at the highest speed, a motor controller can be damaged due to counter electromotive force of the existing motor and the service life of the existing motor is shortened can be solved.
