An Analysis of Time Use to Reveal National Differences in Lifestyle Patterns

This chapter examines lifestyles as patterns of daily life, and explores how differences between societies shape these patterns. We use time-use data to compare people from four countries — Australia, Canada, France and the U.K. — with respect to the consumption activities that characterise daily life.
