STUDY OF HEPATOPROTECTIVE ACTIVITY OF FLOWERS TANSY POLYSACCHARIDE COMPLEX

2015
Polysaccharide complex extracted from tansy (Tanacetum vulgare L.) flowers is pectines type glucuronolactone. Its hepatoprotective activity was assessed on the model of acute toxic hepatitis caused by introduction of carbon tetrachloride 50% solution. It was found that the polysaccharide reduced the asparte aminotransferase activity, decreases the level of malondialdehyde, increases the amount of free SH-groups and glutathiontransferase activity in lysate of erythrocytes, i.e. polysaccharide complex has a pronounced hepatoprotective and antioxidant properties.
