Trace transform of three-dimensional objects: Recognition, analysis, and database search

This paper proposes a new method of analysis and recognition of three-dimensional images. The scanning technique for the formation of a spatial trace transform and a necessary reference grid on the sphere are described. The composite structure of functionals and the attributes of the formation of hypertrace matrices of this approach are analyzed. The requirements imposed on the use of functionals and the restrictions on the reference grid construction on the sphere, under which these attributes of spatial images have invariance to a group of motions and sensitivity to scaling, are specified. The results of the search for 3D objects in the database, demonstrating the efficiency of the proposed method, are provided.
