Molecular cloning and sequencing of Landrance swine interleukin-6 gene

2005
The porcine IL-6 gene had been amplified by RT-PCR after porcine lymphocytes from spleen and lymph node was stimulated by LPS and PHA. The results showed that the porcine IL-6 gene had been successfully cloned and its open reading frame included 639bp nucleotides encoding 212 amino acids, the first 28 amino acids were signal peptides. The nucleotide sequence of the porcine IL-6 gene was significantly different from that of other species. The effect of LPS on inducing lymphocytes was better than that of PHA and the combination of LPS with PHA exerts the best effect.
