Research on the Effect of Lossy Ground on Cable Coupling Electromagnetic Pulse

On the basis of transmission line theory and by using fast fourier transform and fast fourier inverse transform technique,the induced current in cable's shield was calculated.Some of the factors of the lossy ground that affect the induced current in cable's shield were investigate,and some regularity conclusions were reached.The induced currents in cable's shield on lossless ground and lossy ground were calculated and compared.The conclusion was that the lossy ground increased the current in cable's shield,owing to the larger tangential electric field of plane direction cable on lossy ground than that on lossless ground.
