Measurement system to measure a surface

The present invention relates to a measuring system (1) and a measuring method for measuring a surface of a measurement object (2), in particular a rotor blade of a wind turbine. The measuring system (1) comprising: a support unit (3) having a plurality arranged in a measuring plane measuring sensors (30), wherein the measuring system (1) is adapted to align the measuring plane with a profile section of the measurement object (2), a moving unit (5), which is arranged relatively to the measurement object (2) to move the carrier unit (3) in a standing at an angle on the measurement plane the longitudinal direction (z) and a feed unit (40) which is arranged at least one measuring sensor (30) in the deliver measurement plane relative to the profile section. The measuring system (1) and the measurement method allow accurate measurement of the surface of the object with reduced effort.
