A method for non-cooperative location of subscribers in a power-regulated mobile radio system
2001
The invention relates to a method for non-cooperative location of a subscriber mobile station (MS) in a power-regulated mobile radio system, in which at a base station (BS) receivable power of a subscriber mobile station (MS) corresponds to a predetermined fixed reception target level. It comprises the following steps: A DOLLAR a) providing a database in which is stored the following information: DOLLAR A - position of the base station (BS) of the subscriber to be located mobile station (MS); DOLLAR A - target reception level to a base station (BS) receivable power; DOLLAR A - information for determining the local propagation attenuation of the electromagnetic radiation; DOLLAR A b) simultaneous measurement of the bearing angle and the reception power of a subscriber mobile station (MS) by means of precisely a reconnaissance station (AS); DOLLAR A c) calculation of the locus of possible positions of the subscriber mobile station (MS) based on the measured reception power and with recourse to the stored information in the database; DOLLAR A d) location of the subscriber mobile station (MS) by cutting the Peilstrahls determined from bearing with the calculated locus curve of possible positions of the subscriber mobile station (MS).
