The invention relates to a driving support system comprising at least a receiving module adapted to receive data perception (dveh, DLOC, DMES, Dext) of a road environment, and a control module (50) adapted to controlling an embedded system. The driving support system includes a conversion module (10) adapted to generate, from the collection of data (dveh, DLOC, DMES, Dext), a plurality of instances (Insti) classes of an ontology (20) memorized by the driver assistance system and defining the relations between classes, and a reasoning tool (40) adapted to derive on the basis of the ontology (20, ONT), at least one property (PRED) an instance (Insti) of said plurality, the control module (50) is adapted to control the embedded system based on the deduced property (PRED). A method implemented in such a system is also proposed.
