Effects of Herbal Residues Organic Substrates on Growth,Yield,and Quality of Capsicum

Herbal residues,peat,vermiculite,and perlite were selected to prepared mixed substrates,to study physical and chemical properties of the substrates and their effects on growth,yield,quality and photosynthesis of capsicum. The results showed that the effect of treatment T2(herbal residues:peat:vermiculite=2:1:1) was the best,the next were T3(herbal residues:peat:vermiculite = 1:1:1) and T5(herbal residues:peat:perlite = 2:1:1).These three treatments were all superior to control.Therefore,they were ideal soilless substrate and could substitute for turf in production practice.
