ERROR ANALYSIS OF TEMPERATURE GAUGING BY THERMOCOUPLE

This paper analyses the temperature measurement process by thermocouple used for industry heating furnace in detail. Because of the heat transfer by radiation between the heat end of thermocouple and the surface of the furnace wall, and the heat transfer by conduction of thermocouple from the heat end to the cold end, there is the error during temperature gauging with thermocouple. This paper analyses the source of the temperature gauging error by thermocouple. The computing model of the temperature gauging error and the approximate computing formula of the temperature gauging error are given and the mea- sures to reduce the temperature gauging error are also discussed.
