Catalytic hydrodesulfurization and hydrodechlorination of chloroethyl ethyl sulfide

This article investigates the catalytic hydrogenation of chloroethyl ethyl sulfide (CEES), a simulant of chemical warfare agent, as an alternative way to treat this compound. We study the activity and stability of 3% Pt/η-Al 2 O 3 for catalytic hydrogenation of CEES.
