Transición española e integración europea: el papel del movimiento europeo y otras organizaciones europeístas

Europeanist organisations, particularly those associated with the International European Movement, played a relevant role in the coordination of democratic opposition during Francoism, as the Munich plot of 1962 proved. During the transition and the beginning of the constitutional period, those organisations in exile adapted to the new institutional framework by moving to Spain. They sought to influence the adhesion of Spain to the European Communities and promoted different stances on the matter.
