High-spin states in {sup 43}Sc
2004
High-spin states in {sup 43}Sc have been investigated by using the in-beam {gamma}-ray technique with the {sup 27}Al({sup 19}F,p2n) reaction at 50 MeV. The J{sup {pi}}=(17/2{sup -}) level at 4382 keV, the J{sup {pi}}=(17/2{sup -},21/2{sup -}) level at 4633 keV, and some higher-lying levels were newly identified above the J{sup {pi}}=19/2{sup -} high-spin isomer, while the quasirotational structure built on the J{sup {pi}}=3/2{sup +} state has been extended up to the terminating J{sup {pi}}=(27/2{sup +}) state. The energy levels of the observed positive-parity quasirotational band were consistent with the prediction of the shell-model calculation in {l_brace}0d{sub 3/2},0f{sub 7/2},1p{sub 3/2}{r_brace} model space, while the J{sup {pi}}=(17/2{sup -},21/2{sup -}) level at 4633 keV could not be reproduced by the calculation in {l_brace}0f1p{r_brace} model space.
