EL EJERCICIO EN CASA, LOS HÁBITOS DE CONSUMO Y EL IMPACTO EN LOS DEPORTISTAS A PARTIR DEL COVID-19

2020
This study was cross-sectional of a non-experimental type, with a quantitative approach and descriptive design on the changes in behavior and consumption habits by athletes in the quarantine period decreed in March 2020 to the first month of the new normal July 2020. 246 cycling athletes, runners and triathletes participated, from various sports groups belonging to the municipality of Centro, Tabasco, Mexico. They were accessed through the representatives of each group who distributed an online questionnaire. In conclusion, athletes have opted for exercise at home as a forced option to continue their activities and plan to alternate their routines at home and open spaces outside the quarantine period, in turn the concern to preserve health has driven the preference of nutritional supplements and foods reduced in calories and sugars, this is used as a strategy for the continuity of their state of health. Another tactic that has been found is the support of technologies in sports, which motivates online purchases and the purchase of products that facilitate this modality, as well as the use of virtual videos for physical conditioning.
