Optimization of Oil Sealing Surface Microstructure of Hydrostatic Turntable Based on ANN

Hydrostatic turntable has been widely used in precision and heavy machine tools because of its advantages, but its application in ultra-precision machine tools is also limited because of its characteristics, too. In order to improve the characteristics of hydrostatic turntable, the simulating the relationship between the oil chamber pressure and the structure of oil sealing surface of a new type of hydrostatic turntable was done in this paper. The results showed that the rectangular oil slot on oil sealing surface can improved the static characteristics of hydrostatic turntable significantly. Based on above, a method was proposed for optimizing the hydrostatic turntable. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model for the structure parameters of a rectangular oil slot and the oil chamber pressure was established. The accuracy of the model was verified. The best parameters of the rectangular oil slot was got through by Genetic Algorithm (GA). In order to verify the correctness of the result of the theoretical analysis, two kinds of experiment setup for hydrostatic turntable were built. The experiment verified that result of simulation was correct. The new type of hydrostatic turntable with slot on oil sealing surface has better static characteristics.
