PARTISIPASI PETANI DALAM PROGRAM UPAYA KHUSUSPADI JAGUNG DAN KEDELAI (UPSUS PAJALE) DIKECAMATAN NARMADA, KABUPATEN LOMBOK BARAT

One strategic target of Agriculture Ministry in 2015-2019 was the increment in rice, corn, and soybean self-support. In line with the target, the Agriculture Ministry issued UPSUS PAJALE Program through irrigation improvement and its supporting facilities. This study aimed to: (1) review the implementation of UPSUS PAJALE Program in Narmada, West Lombok, (2) analyze the level of farmers’ participation in UPSUS PAJALE Program in Narmada, West Lombok, and (3) analyze the influencing factors of participation level of the farers in UPSUS PAJALE Program in Narmada, West Lombok. Determination of location studied was conducted intentionally (Purposive Sampling) in Narmada, West Lombok regency. Sampling method in this study was Simple Random Sampling with 88 respondents. Data analysis in this study used descriptive qualitative analysis method. Meanwhile, hypothesis testing used Multiple Linear Regression. Result of the study shows that (1) UPSUS PAJALE Program in Namada tends to be more planting rice, (2) level of farmers’ participation in planning is included in high category with 85,6% percentage. In the implementation, farmers’ participation is in high category with 90,2% percentage and in evaluation is included in high category with percentage of 91,65%. (3) Analysis on the influence of group communication factors (X1), intensity on program socialization (X2), education level (X3), and motivation (X4) with participation variable to farmers’ participation in UPSUS PAJALE Program in the form of R-Square coefficient value of 0,530 which means the influence of group communication (X1), intensity of program socialization (X2), education level (X3), and motivation (X4) with variable of farmers’ participation in Narmada in UPSUS PAJALE program are 46,853%.
