Fabrication of an Embedded Multifunctional Structural Antenna for Spacecraft Applications

A design for a multifunctional structural embedded antenna was fabricated using novel materials. The system was built on top of a hybrid composite with an SU-8 polymer epoxy as the substrate and a copper patch antenna using adapted deposition methods. The antenna was designed to benefit spacecraft missions through reductions in size, risk, and overhead.
