A Reliable Routing Scheme for Software-defined Airborne Networks

The airborne backbone network has become the key information infrastructure for the military communications, and the development of Software defined network has provided new ideas for the architecture design of it. To ensure the efficient communications of airborne networks, this paper developed an improved routing scheme which had advantages of both SDN and network coding. The routing scheme structured a forwarding consumption function combining the distance of nodes and the coding gains to assign priorities of candidate nodes. Besides, it designed the feedback mechanism of the control message and improved the structure of flow table. The simulation results show that this routing scheme can adapt to airborne communication and has better overall network performance.
