Bipolar plate (20) for producing a stack of fuel cell proton exchange membrane, said bipolar plate (20) being composed of plates shaped and assembled so as to define an upper face and a lower face, primary channels (24) fluid delivery and secondary channels (25) fluid directing alternately disposed, said primary channels (24) being formed between said assembled sheets, the bipolar plate (20) being characterized in that it comprises a mechanical reinforcement (35) disposed within a reinforcing pipe (30) of the bipolar plate (20), said mechanical reinforcement (35) being configured to resist a compressive force applied to the plate bipolar (20).
