Study on Treatment of Domestic Sewage by Delaminated Vermibiofilter

A Delaminated VBF used in high organic load sewage treatment was introduced here.The hydraulic load was kept in 1.0 m3·(m2·d)-1.For low organic load,the average removal rates of COD,NH3-N,SS and TP are 85%,73%,69%,92% respectively.For high organic load,the average removal rates of COD,NH3-N,SS and TP are 86%,70%,67%,91% respectively.The concentration of contaminant in sewage decrease layer by layer.The study about earthworm population in the conditions of high organic load show that during two weeks from beginning to get to stabilize,the population of adults,sub-adults,juveniles and cocoons increased at the beginning and got a balance in the end.There was a good pertinency between the removal rates of contamination and the population.
